A special note
from our family:
you who know us are probably aware of what happened to our son Robbie
four years ago.
He was 15 years old, with no known heart trouble, but his heart suddenly stopped in the middle of a jazz festival at UAF. The reason he is alive today is because of people on the scene who knew CPR.
One of those people was a young girl named Sarah, only 16 years old at the time, and that event caused her to change her dream of pursuing musical theater to going after a career in emergency medicine.
As she worked toward her EMT certification, she performed CPR on 16 more people, 13 of whom survived.
desire is to become a full paramedic. But as a single mom, the
financial challenge is significant. So she began a GoFundMe campaign,
and we would like to encourage anyone who is interested to consider
supporting her -- whether it' s because you believe in the value of
paramedics in Alaska, or because you are glad that a Cordovan kid did
not lost his life.
Even if you can't donate, sharing this link on any/all your social media platforms would be very helpful so that others can learn of the campaign. You can copy and paste the link as it appears below to share it, or click the link to visit her page.
